Pawscriptions Privacy Policy
Effective August 10, 2026
Pawscriptions helps you track your pets' medications and share that job with the people who help you. This policy explains what information the app handles, and what happens to it. The short version: your pets' data belongs to you, we collect only what the app needs to work, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
Using Pawscriptions without an account
You can use Pawscriptions with one pet without creating an account. In that mode, everything you enter (pets, medications, schedules, dose history) stays on your device. We receive none of it. The only things we ever receive are the anonymous crash reports and usage statistics described below.
What we collect when you create an account
- Account details. Your email address and the name you provide (or the ones Apple shares when you use Sign in with Apple). We use them to sign you in and to show your name to your care team, for example "Given at 8:02 AM by Sam".
- Your pets' records. Pets, medications, schedules, dose history, and any notes you add. These sync to our servers so your care team sees the same schedule you do.
- A push notification token. So your care team's phones can be told when a dose is handled.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, we receive an anonymous technical report so we can fix it. Crash reports are not tied to your account.
- Anonymous usage statistics. We count a handful of anonymous events, like how many people finish setup or create a care team, so we can see what needs improving. These counts are never tied to your account and never include your pets' information.
What we never do
- No advertising, ever, so no ad tracking of any kind.
- No selling or renting your data to anyone.
- No usage profiles tied to you. Our usage statistics are anonymous counts, never a record of your activity.
Who can see your data
- Your care team. People you invite to a care team (and people whose team you join) see the pets, medications, and dose history shared with that team. That sharing is the point of the feature.
- Our service providers. Pawscriptions runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, push notifications, crash reporting). Google processes this data on our behalf under its Firebase privacy terms.
- Apple. Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Deleting your data
Settings > Delete Account removes your account and your data from our servers: pets, medications, dose history, and your sign-in. If you shared a care team with others, the pets' records stay with the team that cares for them, but your account and your name are removed. Account deletion works entirely in the app; there is nothing to email us for, though you are welcome to reach out if anything is unclear.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Delete the account and it goes with it.
Children
Pawscriptions is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note it here with a new effective date.
